So for all of you who don't know, I got chosen as one of the Mount Aloysius mascots.
Tonight was my first "gig".
I was all excited and started to hyperventilate!
I got in the costume, walked around, scared a few kiddies, gave my dad a hug, hugged Lana's mom.
Up here, we have "Mountie Maniacs"...guys who paint themselves blue and write out MAC on their chests.
I thought I would join them for a while, since they were goofing around. It would break me of my nervousness.
Boy was I wrong.
They surrounded me, 3 or 4 of them, and started asking who I was. We're not supposed to talk, so I just shook my head.
The guys around me were Jonathan Kiral, Aaron Ling, and Andy Clay.
After harrassing me for a while, someone *speculated Kiral* decided they wanted to knock the head off the costume to see.
They got it high enough for someone to go "It's a girl!" (No shit, dumbass!) And for me to look Aaron in the face.
I was so disgused and embarrassed that I grabbed Lana (who was supposed to be escorting me) and went to the back room. I was already crying because I was so pissed off.
I ripped off the head and the mitts so I could wipe my face.
Lana shut the door, looked at me and went "Oh my god!"
I was like, "Lana, I'm just crying." But she ran out of the room.
I looked down at my hands and they were covered in blood.
Lana came back with Andy, the athletic trainer, and Sue Brugh, who's in charge of the mascot.
There was blood all over my face and all down the front of the *white* jersey. I felt terrible that I got blood on the jersey.
It took almost 45 minutes to stop the bleeding, and this was done only after Andy put a powder'ed cautirzer thing up my nose.
I went out and sat with my dad and Jan. I had no desire to be there.
I told Sue the whole story, and she was LIVID. She told me she'd take care of it.
So this is the end of my mascoting career.

And I just found out today that the HEAD COACH of the basketball team is spreading the rumor that a member of the opposite team punched the mascot in the face!
