First semester complete! A full week of life entirely lost to exams, but it went well. Most raised or maintained my final grade; only the last, Pharmacology, dropped it from A to A-. Just no time for the studying. But it's done, and I have a whole summer...well, 3 days...to enjoy before it begins again. Needless to say, the liquor cabinet's contents are reaching their nadir.
My brother and his fiancee split again. I should be seeing them at Dragon*Con in September, which will be interesting. Maybe they'll be together once more! Or re-re-split. It's hard to keep track of those two. My few dates with a fellow student didn't pan out; I think she was already seeing someone. Given how busy I am, I'm not too bothered by it. In four days I start clinicals, and the shit will really hit the bedpan then. One will be in general surgery, the other is in a psychiatric institute full of "rapists and murderers" according to the TA. The female students in my group are thrilled, needless to say. I'll probably get myself stabbed keeping them out of trouble.
Today I buy books, buy the white shoes I need as part of uniform (white!! ), purchase other basic supplies, then it's me time the rest of the night. Tomorrow I'll be pulling a nicely aged bottle of shiraz out of the wine cabinet to share with friends; I have several such end-of-semester bottles with a good champagne for graduation.
One year to go!
