Have you ever just had one of those bad feelings - like you know somethings coming and it aint gonna be pretty? I shudder to even say as much, as Ive come to appreciate my intuition as being more reliable than not
Eh Its probably just me. My heads been everywhere except on my shoulders lately and my frustrations likely have more to do with my lack of focus than anything else.
Anyway
I should be in a perkier mood as Comicon is this coming weekend. Usually its a great excuse to go have fun in San Diego on the bosss dime, but I learned this morning that I may have to go solo A certain someone seems to think that finding a job is more important than tomfoolery, and my backup pinch-geek has to go to a wedding. Now Im a big ol nerd, I admit, but walking the convention floor by ones lonesome is too pathetic even for me.
So yeah I may skip it this year.
Anyhoo, Me and the P.E. went to the OC fair on Saturday; turkey legs, fried Snickers bars, beer and a demolition derby to boot! What more could you possibly ask for?
Evil baby-killing rides, you say?
Well, we did hit a few of those, including one ride I came to call Do You Believe In God? Cause you have to have a lot of faith to get on a deathtrap that puts you fifty feet in the air and then proceeds to twirl you from here to Sunday. You know its an accident just waiting to happen when you can walk right on even when the lines for every other ride are stacked ten or twenty deep.
At any rate, fortune favored the foolish and I lived to consume a few more beers. Heck, I even managed to win P.E. the Muppets Beaker doll she wanted in the squirt-cannon game first try, even! That puts me at 2 in 2 for the win me something challenge.
On Sunday I finished schooling the girl in the ways of Twin Peaks with a viewing of Fire Walk With Me. I love that movie, but demanded that we watch Airplane 2 immediately after to wash the melancholy out of my mouth. That movie just depresses me to no end. Probably has something to do with there being a few too many Laura Palmer-types in my past
Ill leave it at that for now. The telephone doth ring

Shit, I don't want my first train ride to be accompanied by your "I've got a bad feeling".

I'm at my mom's house emailing resumes and playing with the dogs. And I smell like what I always smell like, massive man B.O.
