Alright, the office mate is out today so I can actually log on, gaze at some boobies and make a real entry for once.
All is well Mostly.
As previously mentioned, there have been some roommate troubles of late. Long story short, one of the two mates recently threw down the gauntlet and basically said that he wants more cleanliness, less clutter, etc., etc, or hes out. Such a demand is not without warrant as I am the king of clutter, but this comes from the guy who has never so much as lifted a finger in the kitchen or bathroom
Not to mention the fact that this declaration came about a day after a pipe burst, thus throwing the entire apartment into chaos; water damage, paint peeling, warped floor, etc.
Odd timing, to say the least.
Then there was a mysterious note left on a certain fond acquaintances windshield like a fake parking ticket. After a bit of investigation, the note was traced back to the surly roommate. Basically he was pissed that P.E. got a space closer to the apartment than he did, and in a drunken stupor decided to take a childish swipe at me through my girl.
Not smart.
Now, Id let it go if hed just own up to it. He has been a friend for a long time, and cohabitation inevitably puts strain on any relationship. But his overall mood has gotten downright nasty. Hes always been a brooder, but now hes just being an asshole. I feel safe in that supposition as my other roommate, who is probably the most easygoing, tolerant person on the face of the planet, can no longer stand him.
So now were all in quiet mode, with no one saying much of anything. The basic hope is that he will indeed go quietly and me and the other mate will just split his share of the rent. Well still be coming out ahead than if we tried to find another place in this market.
Its just a great big headache, and I really would prefer to avoid a confrontation. I dare say that hes just pissed about his career and life right now and his current disposition is just one of the side effects. If it did get ugly Well, I tend to go for the jugular and I fear that I might say something that will ring painfully true. Hopefully hell move along and after a few months we can all forget the whole unfortunate episode.
Anyway
So, P.E. has gone gray Kinda odd as this is where I met the girl, but I can hardly blame her as she has even fewer opportunities to log on now than I do. But suffice it to say that shes good but still evil.
We went to the Magic Castle last Friday night which was an absolute blast; booze and magic in a creepy old house in the Hollywood hills. What could be better?
We saw The Notorious Betty Page on Saturday, which was good. I enjoyed the use of period stock footage, Gretchen Mol was surprisingly good and the filmmakers took care in recreating the era, but the story itself felt abridged to the point feeling almost painfully clipped. Nonetheless, it was entertaining and the soundtrack is a lot of fun.
Speaking of soundtracks, my collecting frenzy continues with recent additions like The Karate Kid DONT LAUGH! The music from the training montage is lovely! I also picked up Young Sherlock Holmes and Raise the Titanic, another John Barry masterpiece reminiscent of his score for The Black Hole.
Writing-wise I dont think Ive ever been so busy; scripting for the boss, outlining a TV project and trying to get hired on another. And thats just the priorities. Ive had to add a few backburners to the proverbial stove.
And
Yeah, that plenty for now. Too much, really. So, if you actually made it to the end, thanks for reading! Hopefully I can get around and say hi sometime soon.

I'm not typing it all over again. Suffice to say it was your stopping by that got me to stop here, and yes I read the whole thing. Interesting that you can log on from the office. Kinda wish I could, to at least read journal entries and respond if nothing else.
