So I had a very interesting weekend. I spent most of it photographing Dallas Debutantes' portraits. Most of them are the prima donnas that you would think they are but I actually photographed one that was pretty down to earth. On Saturday I did something I thought I would never do! One of our friends is moving to New Orleans so we said we would do whatever she wanted. So, We started the night with Sushi (which I'm not a fan of and yes I have given it 3 chances and did not like any of them). Then we went to the Country Bar Gilley's. I never thought I would see myself in here but there I was listening to some guy sing about Kool-Aid. Yes, Kool-Aid! At least it wasn't about his broken heart and his dead dog. Then the unthinkable happened. A girl that was along with or group got me out on the dance floor and taught me the two-step and some dance where you spin each other around at a growingly faster pace! I asked if you do anything else and she said that you just end t with a dip. Surprisingly, I did pretty well. I'm real rigid at first but I loosened up once I forgot about what I looked like and just went with the beat. The only thing I didn't do was ride the bull. I wasn't drunk enough. Then we all caravaned to someones house and sat outside drinking and talking until one of the guys with us thought it would be fun to skinny dip. This was followed by mass removal of clothes and people jumping into the chilly water. Sadly I did not join because once again I wasn't drunk enough. Damn being the designated driver! Well, maybe next time. So I got to bed by 6am and woke up 4 hours later to work the rest of Sunday. In all it was a fun weekend. Do I see myself going to those places again? No, not really but I'm glad I went once.
