I tire of keeping company with ghosts. Illusions from my past have haunted me. What seemed almost saint like become yet another uncomfortable mirror into an image that I have yet to escape. I roll over in disappointment. I have woken from another dream. Another vision of freedom only to appear back inside this prison. What was once firey frustration has boiled down to jaded...

I dont think religion cases as many wars as people think but it sure will not bring peace to the world, you cant force your beliefs onto everyone.

Religion should never be forced on anyone, it should be a choice, you can never find religion until you are ready.

wow it is crazy that Argentina is going that before us.
noctua:
Not so crazy, nikonphoto80. With the exception of that whole establishment of a 'modern republican government', the U.S. has been habitually behind the curve. One need only compare other nations to the U.S. when they: abolished slavery; granted women the right to vote; granted 18yo the right to vote; entered into both World Wars; recognized gay marriage (still very much an on-going issue); established national health care infrastructure (also on-going). Is it really any surprise that when it comes to liberalizing its drug laws, the U.S. would also be behind?

In a speech at the Vatican on Wednesday, Ratzinger said: Is it not true that inconsiderate use of creation begins where God is marginalized or also where his existence is denied? If the human creature's relationship with the Creator weakens, matter is reduced to egoistic possession, man becomes the final authority,...
