well so much for fending off fundamentalists.
my horoscope today said that i'm supposed to go at least one week without thinking a bad thought about another person.
well, my brother's appendic misfortune has turned out to be a head start for my non-haterating weekend by cancelling my ride to the wedding.
there's at least two days more likely in my favor than they would have been.

*phew*

my brother will be fine. just an appendectomy. which i'm sure sucks the same as about any minor surgery, but certainly not life-threatening.

i wonder if they'll let him keep it afterwards....

Medical. Hernia repair. I've never hurt myself flying, but hauling the glider around has hurt me twice now.

Anyway, I am making a micraculous recovery.

Lovely bruising around the incision . . .

And I wouldn't call an appendectomy "minor". I ran a simulation once. LOTS of stuff to keep track of. Arteries to tie off and such. Still, I am sure he will be fine.
