Once in a while I update. Today is that day, I guess. I really have not been into the updating scene, but it is a strong current and I guess I must succumb.
I really need to update my profile pic. It looks like a mix between a drug stupor and a homo-erotic ninja flick.
Life is good, if you exempt
This is Dr. Martin. He is a good guy-- that I am kinda-sure of. Here is the problem though. My usual professor has been sick, and Dr. Martin here has jumped in mid-semester to instruct in the ways of Complex Analysis while the original instructor lays sick. A tough task indeed, hence I am laying no blame on him for his utter blabbering during our class. Is it annoying that during a proof of limits of complex variables Dr. Martin repeatedly erases what he has just wrote and states, "Let me rephrase that since the initial statement is awkward"?
Abso-fucking-lutely. The man is making my brain hemorrhage as misinformation is consistently shoved into my lobes and then extracted as he wipes the blackboard clean because of another error in representation. My brain is not pliant enough to be agitated by this mockery of teaching. A complete proof was written, then rephrased, then rewritten until there remained no words that comprised the original proof. Brain exploding in t-minus 3 seconds.
On the other hand, I am ripping the ass out of my Numerical Analysis course. Yes 100% on everything. Test - aced it. Quiz- aced it. Homework- aced it. I love that class and the instructor.
Today he told us of a story about how someone thought that a thumbs up meant the same as a middle finger. So, if ever annoyed by problems or questions that arose in today's class, Dr. Stein (the instructor of the class) would give thumbs up to the class -- all of whom knew what he was truly trying to represent.
Yes, it is kinda' sad that I find that hilarious.
So, this is my journal.
