Right, so:

Yet again, after months of silence, here I am blogging in an Airport. At least having SG open on my laptop in the airport keeps the Christians with loud children at a distance. I'm delayed at the start of an epic international journey, the first I've allowed myself in years.

I'm really happy to be travelling. I need to do more of it....

Right. So: I'm moving in a few weeks. Very, very exciting. So happy to see the back end of this particular job. The city, surprisingly, I will miss a bit.

i love swearing. just not at the top of your lungs at wallgreens in front of your two year old and someone's grandma. and not at the bank teller or anyone else being paid minimum wage to serve you. you know, that kind of shittiness.

Right then:

I'm clearly not much for the frequent updates (but then, it isn't like many are hanging on to life only in hopes of updates on the minutiae of my days.) There's been all manner of travel--twice to NYC, once to Memphis, and a quick visit to Portland, but not truly good stories there.

Right, so:

Why is it that trading a 6 hour drive for a 6 hour layover at SEA-TAC airport is not seeming like a good swap at the moment. I'm taking the redeye back east in order to have NYC festivness, and visit the Auld Stomping Grounds, which will (hopefully) stave off my growing desire to maim either coworkers or students until the end of...

That's frightening. I hate the suburbs. Chicago is an amazing city, though. Lots to do.

Right, so: pursuant to the request of the dear Cai's request, I am updating my blog for the first time in about a year. I don't, however, have much to say, except that I'm still in Spokane, such as it is, and it has actually made me miss the midwest--something I never thought could happent to my pretentious, snobby east-coast ass. But there it is.

What else? I'm greatly fond of my cat, and decidedly less fond of my job.
