My house is awesome. I love the way everything is coming together. I'm lucky that my girlfriend is so invested in creating a happy home with me that she's right there next to me getting stuff done around the house. And there is so very much to be done all the time. There are invasive trees on the west side of the house that are trying to hurt my foundation, a partial fence to be installed, spider eradication to be executed (but not executing spiders, just discouraging them) and I just found that the window on the front of the house is trying to fall out. It's amazing to me that someone is so very in love with me that she'll not only be there next to me but she also takes charge of things like paint colors and window treatments.
Trystian the cat and Elvis the boxer are like the Brady Bunch kids. They mostly love each other, they like to pull each other's hair sometimes and they gang up on the parents around feeding time. Elvis is so very respectful of how much smaller Trystian is but he really really wants to play. The other day Elvis was trying to initiate play with Trystian when Trystian was mid-afternoon napping. Elvis walked up to Trystain and gently put his head down on Trystian's back. Jowls all flared out on the cat's back. I couldn't get the camera out fast enough. Since Trystian didn't move, Elvis knew that he wasn't up for playing so he curled up on the floor next to Trystian and sighed. It was beyond adorable.
Next time I'll update with some more photos, or if I get a chance to upload later tonight.
