today i drove around, going too fast, listening to loud music. then i got my hair cut, and had vietnamese food for lunch, found a dress to wear to the prom AND bought a painting. it was a very good day.
Facts are subject to perspective. My view of the car crash from the street corner is different than the guy sitting in Taco Bell 20 yards away choking on a taco is different than the guy in the car. Everything is a choice or a reflection of personal perspective acquired through experience and/or environment. The facts are only what you or anyone else chooses to accept as fact. Wrestle with that one a bit. Preferably naked.
I wish I could say that that moved me or taught me something.
Instead, I've been through enough heartbreak and reality checks in my 33 years and had enough relationships with 100's of different people on hundreds of different levels and I already feel more strongly about what he wrote than what he does.
Some days, the best thing we can do for ourselves is to not do anything that makes the world any more shitty for others. It's easy when you practice treating others the way you'd like to be treated no matter what. I wish we could get our kids to believe that.
It's good to see old friends still awake and breathing.
