Touring was pretty acecore.
Some of the dates we played were really bad, with awful sound an rubbish crowds, but overall, so long as we could hear the drum machine it rocked nicely.
Particular points of interest were:
Shaun Ryder watching us in Manchester (didn't actually watch, but was in the same bar, and so will probably've been vaugly aware).
Playing with Parisman and Rebus, both of whom I understand to be 'on the up'.
Developing a wealth of injokes by virtue of talking to only two people for a week, and spending most of our time in the confined space of a car/bar.
I've now been back a week and am searching for work, which I need to surive till after Christmas.
However I didn't let my financial situation stop me having a wonderfully decadent, lobster eating weekend, no sir.
Nor did I let it stop me from going up t'smoke an eating tasty Japanese food, and going to cabaret things.
I'm hoping I won't let it stop me from seeing cocorosie on Thursday, ActionForce tommorow, meeting LittleWhoresOnThePrairie people on Saturday, hopefully with a view to drumming for them, maybe, and all the myriad other things I'm supposed to be getting my last paycheque to stretch to.
Like christmas, and going to the far North for New Year, and moving back to Nottingham, and so on.
So, yes, getting a job's something of a prority.
Or gambling, I think I'll just start gambling again.
I need to up my vice quota, I've given up the drink for a solid week (two days so far), on a point of honour, after it being repeatedly suggested that I'd find it impossible.
I miss drink.
Maybe gambling will fill the hole.
Smoking helps, but it just makes me think how nice a scotch would be with the cigarette.
Alas.
Quite. Hope people are well.
I suppose I could check their journals and find out, and leave comments, but I'm rubbish at doing that, so I'm just going to hope.
Hope Real Hard.
