BIGGEST rant on dating boards, by far and away, is the good old "why are women all cunts who don't like the NICE guy. Like me YOU FUCKING BITCHES WHY DO YOU GO FOR THE ASSHOLES". The fact that these passive aggressive WANKERS answer their own question, unknowingly is priceless comedy to me.
SECOND biggest rant on dating boards, by far and away, is "where are all the good men! I'm tired of players just wanting to ride my little snatch. Where are the guys with the flowers and good credit who want to get married and I can retire from my job and the nanny can look after our highly photogenic babies?" Usually seen in 30something women whose moms are warning of the impending Crazy Cat Lady/Eggs about to expire countdown.
THIRD biggest rant is "Why don't guys wanna have anything to do with a woman who has kids?" And that's a more complex one. Can I suggest a recent film trailer can illustrate?
I was watching a flick and what first came on was an ad for an upcoming movie, "The Stepfather", about a guy who shows up in a girl's life. Of course, he turns out to be an evil, homicidal psycho. Great.
I lived with this couple once - they'd just met. She had a 9 year old daughter. I think I lost count of how many times she asked if he was a child molestor before she'd let him into the house, though they were dating. She even went so far as to try and run a sex offender check on him. I asked her quietly, if she thought he was a potential stalker/psycho/molestor, why date him?
There was a quiet aura of "I'll never 100% trust this man" and dear God, the moment there was a discipline problem. How dare he have a problem with the little girl stealing money from him, etc. Even after they got married, the girl came to me for questions about birds and bees. She'd picked up from her mom that this guy was somehow waiting to fuck up her life somehow, and avoided him. They broke up - he never had a chance.
Movie premise: "hey, if he's a sweet guy, chances are he's really, SECRETLY a psycho out to fuck up your kids." Great. Like that paranoia hasn't stopped guys from volunteering with Big Brothers, Cub Scouts, church groups, the YMCA, foster parenting, etc. etc. etc. and now even relationships.
That's why we don't, lady.
That's why.
