Yeah, that's pretty much it. There are 3rd party ones that do the same thing for less, but for some reason I'd rather stick with the official Volkswagen version.

They all connect to the CD changer interface on the radio. I'm curious if mine is in the trunk or if it's closer, like the glove box. If it's in the trunk, it might be a bitch to get the cable up to the front of the car.

Cool, thanks! I'm going to poke around a little today and see if I can't find the connectors without ripping apart the dash. I guess I need special tools to remove the radio?
