James S. Mapes said: "We either create our destiny, or we live out someone else's creation".
Words that ring louder than anything I ever learned in school. And yet many of us are lost in the dark, trying to find our way. We get distracted by the bright, distorted light television casts, or the reflection of our potential self as seen in the glossy pages of a magazine. Many people choose to live out someone else's created destiny without even realizing it. And they only know frustration, or depression.
So how do you create your own destiny? Find what it is you want to do and take the steps to do it. If you fall down, pick yourself up - who hasn't fallen when they first learned to ride a bike? And you keep going. You know you're on the right path when all you feel is awkwardness, and feeling vulberable - signs that you've left the shell of comfort and are expanding your horrizons.
So what if you don't eventually do that thing you dreamed of. You'll probably find something more interesting or at least have one hell of an adventure finding it!

life, dreams, enlightenment... these things are all easy to acheive. it is allowing ourselves to hold onto them that is the trial
