Thanks again for all your support re. my getting fired from the Lusty Lady. I'm sorry if I am not able to quickly respond to everyone's post. I went to hear Benjamin Creme speak at the Palace of Fine Arts on behalf of the master Maitreya, who will soon be making His appearance in the world (fundamentalist Christians have identified Creme as usher of the Anti-Christ. Hell, one of 'em even heard the Beast breathing in the background during his Art Bell interview), had a shrink appt., a Catwoman viewing, a party... Tomorrow I get my pink and black refreshed, and maybe I'll do some transmission meditation on Tuesday. Gotta find time for "serious endeavors", too - like my bp-bpd book...
Back on topic, though, yes: admittedly, it hurts that not enough of my coworkers voted to overturn the termination. I understand matters of principal such as not wanting to create double standards, but sometimes I worry that the ladies voted as such for other reasons - like, they would rather eat worms with high sodium, carbs and msg than work another shift with me. Hehe.
I guess if it were me, and a fellow worker/owner's livelihood were on the line, I would vote to keep them on. I don't think I could vote against even my worst enemy, for fear that my vote could mean hunger and homelessness for her. It's hard enough to survive in this, the most expensive city in the US, WITH a job. But, I also think that allowing karma to come through is ultimately compassionate, and that to enable me to stay in a job that may no longer serve my best interest would equate to counter-productive coddling.
On a final note, how would you proceed in this situation:
A store tries to overcharge you because (they think) they can. You don't sign, and flustered, you leave your card behind. They don't let you know they still have your card. The bank charges you to cancel your card and reissue a new one.
Do you:
A. put a boa constrictor in a shopping bag, help yourself to what the merchant tried to jack you for, and let her have a face full of snake when she confronts you?
or
B. send her weekly articles about the benefits of honesty and right-action in the world?

you know I love you and you can do no wrong in my eyes
But being flustered is the first problem. Stand centered and breathelook deep into whomevers eyes and feel their mind as you expose your own. Clearly state your needs and expect them to be met.
I know you are going through economic stress but we do not know what said attendants life is going through. We are human. If wrong was done then it will be obvious to the manager and your needs will be met.
If it will make you feel better resolve and confront the situation.
The good act is also the true act. If you allow this to perpetuate, said clerk or just general misdeed could be allowed to perpetuate.
Use this moment to congratulate your awareness on not being had and build a belief in making wrong things right, without creating more wrong.
you are still my hero!
On other fronts, what did you think of ol Benjamin Creme?
