Back from my trip to Portland! Had a blast and may want to move there soon.
We four hybrid road warriors stayed at the infamous Jupiter, a kooky, kitschy '60s-style hotel:
Went to the THE DETENTION BAR at the KENNEDY SCHOOL:
Shannon and Crispian bond over alcohol. As for my azz, I had translation work to do:
On to THE HONORS BAR!
and the 2 other fine drinking establishments within the converted learning institution.
Had to snag some gifties at the Cat's Meow! It's got everything for the discerning feline and her human, including Cat Bingo, cat-and-crossbone tees, and ice trays that make kitty-shaped cubes.
Although Union Jack's featured the hottest dancers, the Pirate's Cove was by far the most uniquely shaped of the strip clubs we attended:
I got my hair cut at the Jupiter's WACK salon!
Here are some of the stylists:
Do I look like Elvira? (Don't tell me I appear to have a mullet, or its faux counterpart, the "fullet.")
Driving back to SF along the OR and CA coasts after an overnight stop at the perhaps overrated Coos Bay:
WIDE AWAKE!
We visited a pub:
That's me with Leslie Dean of Telto (she played guitar and sang at my book release party):
And here's her good buddy Crispian, who shares a birthday with me:
We found a drive-thru tree (in Leggit, CA):
- Thora Zine
