so it's 10:29am and it's my birthday. i feel a bit melancholy. turning 25 doesn't bother me, i've never really cared much for birthdays but last year i did have a four day bender whilst in Japan. maybe i've just got to accept that for the next while i'm going to compare everything that happens to what happened while i was there.
plans for today? well everyone's working so i think i might devour the rest of the book i'm reading 'The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loanna' by Umberto Eco, then go to visit my mate who's working in a pub today. I shall sit at the bar with a Jack Daniels in hand until it's time to meet my folks and siblings for dinner. By then i should be suitably inhibriated and the transformation should be complete. I will have transformed from disillusioned melancholy thomcat into belle of the ball, happy chappy, funniest person at the table thomcat. tada!
