so it's 10:29am and it's my birthday. i feel a bit melancholy. turning 25 doesn't bother me, i've never really cared much for birthdays but last year i did have a four day bender whilst in Japan. maybe i've just got to accept that for the next while i'm going to compare everything that happens to what happened while i was there.

i did go there yes. what an amazing view. iv'e forgotten what it was called but did you go down into the wish shrine? (pitch black underground maze with a blessed rock in the centre which you turn around whilst making a wish).

the rocks with bib things on are from kiyomizudera around a little shrine off to the left of the main buildings.

so i arrived back in Glasvegas a month ago. I've been living in central Japan for a year but now it's back to a different reality. Was tough at first, getting culture shock returning to a city i've known for 24 years was pretty strange. i miss my students, i miss the seasons, i miss my friends and the food and the schoolgirls.
