Okay....picked up some new cd's this past week and here they go in no particular order...
Madonna- immaculate collection
Jeff Buckley- grace
Prince- best of vol 1
Prince- Purple rain (a must have in everyone's collection)
Screaming jay hawkins- Greatest hits
okay, jay hawkins, holy shit! it's really the only thing i can say to that guy. He's the dude who did the song "i got a spell on you" it's straight up 1949 hardcore. so much depth and soul in this dudes voice and persona. so what happened? I think that there should be a mandatory history of music class in high school. I mean, it's such a huge part of everyone's life, from the hippie in venice to the dude who works wall street. Everyone listens to it, so why not educate? And don't even get me started on new music. There is a definate difference in playing music for money, and getting paid for what you do. Remember that!
Anywho, anyone form everyone can order cds off smartpunk.com and the best part is that they are 5 effing dollars. thats it. period. Some arizona dates and nor cal dates are still waiting to be confirmed and information will be up as soon as possible. visit myspace.com/thislovemachine or thislovemachine.com for any more information.
