So Shannon and I are sitting on my couch last night, my DVD set of Smallville season 3 finally showed up on friday from DeepDiscountDVD.com. Thing is, the disks weren't securely snapped on their little holders in the case, and several of them rattled around inside during the trip with UPS. There were scuffs and scratches an inch or so all around the inner portion of the bottoms. Disk one played fine, but the next one was so badly damaged it wouldn't even load to the disk menu, on either of my players. I figured I could send it back on Monday, and hope it wouldn't take so long to get a new replacement set. Then my weasel center kicked in... I called Target to ask them if they could exchange a damaged DVD for the same item, and that I lost my receipt. "Sure" they said...
So off to Target I run at 9:00 pm and snagged the last set of season 3 they had. Success!
I consider it "working the system"... My Pirate Dad would be so proud.

I love beating the system like that too. Especially when it saves you time and lets you watch your favorite show!
