i like that a35mmlife and digdug have reemerged.
i went to chicago earlier this week. something about that city just doesn't work for me. my dad has lived there since i was 8, so i visit a few times every year. he has an amazing view of the lake and city in a high-rise right off of lake shore drive, but when i look out the window .. i feel nothing.
i did have my first real battle with urban traffic, though. and i was ALONE. i paid $17 to park for 1 hour on michigan avenue, only to go to h+m and find virtually nothing.
i had one fantastic experience in chicago -- seeing radiohead play in grant park a few years ago in august. that's about it.
and that is how i feel about chicago.

had to ride a train back here for 3 days with no clean clothes.
hell of an experience.
I kinda liked it, but I think I need to go back and try it again.
Good-ass bbq sanwiches, that's for sure.
