my boots are dusty. does that strike you as a bit sad? i broke out the boots today for the first time since last winter. there was a frost last night and it looks like that time of year is here. for those of you in certain climates who don't experience frosts, you might find it amusing to know that i had to take old sheets and cover the mums with them so they don't die. from the looks of things, i was their hero, because the mums are still going strong.
so, dusty boots. my poor toes. i let them breathe from april/may to as far into fall as i can take it in sandals or open-toed heels or flip-flops. that's the way it should be. my toes want to breathe and experience life, not be cooped up. i wore socks for the first time since spring over the weekend when i went to louisville.
speaking of l-ville, how fun. it is so much more happening and charming that i would have expected. indianapolis is bigger, but louisville has much more going on. for those of you that are in the know, i went to connections, aka a huge gay bar. that's where my profile pic was taken. the girl on your right is one of my hot, hot hot friends from home. i drank more than i've drank all year and still was pretty ok. some of you talked to me and i sounded pretty ok, right? i know i ended the night doing shots of absolut mandarin and i never do that. in all reality, i hardly ever drink because i just haven't found a place that is entirely fun here. still, i have a nastily high tolerance for being a bit of a thing. that doesn't strike me as healthy.
in the immortal words of whitney houston, "You give good love to me, LASG!"
thank you so much for having phones and talking to me for over an hour. [i had to leave louisville and drive home to indianapolis at 6 am because of cat/allergy/asthma issues]. i dno't think it's a stretch to say i may have had issues if i'd been alone for those 2.5 hours. so thank you. no, really.
