This is a hard question as I have many characters whom stand out to me. But for you @rambo @lyxzen @missy I've tried
I have been inspired by many. I have two and I cannot pick my favourite between the two it's too tough for my little brain.
1) Dracula has always been my favourite horror story and film. I had a hammer horror phase in my teens. The first book in ever read was by bramble stoker but the childrens version and then I went on to the adult Dracula, I didn't understand it so I read it again and again until I understood. Dracula wasn't a evil guy he just wanted to love and it's quite romantic on Draculas half. I was obsessed with him. I wanted him to be real. Then I became a massive buffy nerd too and the episode of Dracula vs buffy made me completely obsessed. The history of the vlad the impaler stuck in my head and to this day I want to visit transylvania and read the book again sat near the very castle. Rip christopher lee also.
The second book I ever read was hound of the baskervilles. Sherlock holmes is also a great character choice. He is now played by benadict cumberbatch who i had the honour of meeting in London at the convention. The tv show is great but the books get me geeky wet so I read them over and over on my kindle whenever I am bored that detective sure cheers me up. He is sexy by being so clever. I believe if he was really real then loads of crimes would be busted and I'd stalk him and wear my deerstalker hat haha. I have a book signed by late grandfather saying to rachael read this and know whenever you do I gave you this incredible story. And so I read it over and over and over and I feel like he's right there with me again. It's beautiful. Sherlock holmes vs Dracula is a book which with the two combined I piss my pants
