hey, look at me... I'm sick as hell.

Did some incredibly violent vommitting this morning at 4am. If it were an Olympic Sport I would have medalled, hands down. Puked up more liquid than I've consumed in the last week, and all day long I've been wondering:

Where did it come from?

Just thought I'd share. Y/r pal, 3F.

Once again, I can't help but to comment on what a beautiful day it is. The worst part about living in Florida is that we don't really have seasons here. Deciduous trees aren't a-plenty, and the ones there are don't change much during the year. New England can't help but notice when Fall arrives; for us, we aren't even aware it happened until someone tells...

It's a beautiful fucking day.

Susan Buck morris is down in Gainesville tonight. I'll probably be checking her out. It's the upteenth annual Marxist Reading Group Conference at UF and last year's was pretty phenonmenal. Had some girl turn me on to the concept of interpellation, which pretyy much sent me into a sprial that ended up with me writing about 60 pages on Ideology....

A new update is due it seems. I'll be on my way to work in a few minutes. I find it ironic that I like my job. It's my first job with a company that wasn't easily classifiable as "small business" owned by someone local. But even though it's definitely corporate I still like it. It interests me and the whole network of organization interests...

Met girl tonight for coffee...

and she ordered...

coffee!

It's not like that's a deal-breaker if she didn't or as though it moves the world every time that happens, I just like the idea of it. In a world full of double-shot non-dairy vanilla lattes with just a sprinkle of cinnamon and lots of foam, a girl who just asks for coffee gets a certain...

Started re-reading Crime and Punishment today. I haven't read it since I was 16 and it's very odd to go through this book and read the thoughts of Raskolnikov. When I was a kid I knew Dostoyevski had been put it prison for his writing, but didn't see the politics or social commentary quite as clearly as I do now. I just liked the things...

I know what you mean about the "superficial understanding" of youth...the lack of "context" when looking at literature...I can grasp and relate more deeply to writing if I have the context down...
I was a big fan of Kafka when I was in school...I realted to "The Metamorphosis" a great deal..(in my own context, of course.)
BTW...my "old demons"...I just thought at 32 I was done with certain tendencies...like my bratty selfishness and my propencity to turn guilt into a chance to become consumed w/self abuse and, in so doing, become completely self-absorbed...stuff like that.
