@rambo and @missy thank you, as always for the homework assignment!
Today I'm going to tell you about a time I formed or broke a habit and how!
Little known fact about yours truly, I used to smoke cigarettes. I wanted to quit but every time I tried I would just get so darn bored I would pick it up again. It was an oral fixation for me, not an addiction. I am a very fidgety person so for me to break a habit that gave me something to do with my hands was very difficult. Honestly, when I did kick it, it wasn't even intentional! I got very sick, very very sick. For a week I couldn't breathe and overall felt crummy so I went to the doctor who diagnosed me with pneumonia and gave me antibiotics for it. Well, another week passes and I'm getting worse. I was at the point where I had to sleep in a recliner because if I slept flat like in abed I would start choking so I wasn't sleeping. I went to a different doctor who realized it wasn't pneumonia, it was bronchitis and it was so bad that I was on the verge of suffocation. So this doctor gave me different antibiotics and said if I got any worse by the next night they were going to hospitalize me.
I got better but you may be wondering, what does this have to do with smoking? Well, when you already can't breathe, it makes it nearly impossible to smoke and you certainly don't want to. Being sick for over 2 weeks gave me the time I needed to beat a nasty habit. Now I smoke when I'm trashed but that's about it. Haha
