what a cool weekend. it started with my little shortened work firday. hit the old blockbuster. national treasure (surprised how much freemasons are being brought up in movies lately), blade trinity (yes, smuffy your boy ryan reynolds has come a long way since van wilder), and meet the fockers (bobby d. and hoffman rock in that).
saturday night was supposed to be date night for me. dinner with a woman that i met at a buddy's party last saturday night. it was a good meal. okay conversation that seemed a little forced at times. eh.
so as soon as left the restaurant, i hit the celly and dialed up thriftx2horatio and some of my other firends for a rendevous uptown. i am usually not down with the social activity post-date, but i wanted to get out. a little thomas street before hitting connolly's. met with thriftx2horatio for a couple of beers. ran into a bunch of people including a hot chick from volleyball that i hadn't seen in a couple of months. mainly since she has been globetrotting for awhile and apparnetly was in australia last time i called her. okay. thiftx2horatio then dialed up a sexy little number and i got to chat with xixax while she got her old ride taken care of. sexy voice.
today was supposed to just be chill for me. a nice round of disc golf with a buddy, some tv, and finish my laundry. but mid disc golf round i got a holler from a buddy who happened to have an extra ticket for tonight's show out at verizon wireless. oh yeah. i just got back from velvet revolver. pretty good show i guess. i had one of those "moments" tonight. this hot little chick was milling around while the show was going on and we both stopped for a hot dog at the same time. ended up BSing for a couple of minutes. it was just nice. in an all out cheese attempt with no other recourse due to the volume as we got closer to the lawn seats, i threw her my business card just to gaurantee that i will never see her again.
then the encore kicked in. the absolute best part of the show. started it with an awesome version of floyd's wish you were here. then did g'n'r's mr. brownstone. then finished it with slither that fucking rocked.
i am off to bed in a second and don't have to get up early because the sexterra is getting serviced tomorrow AM. told the boss man i would be in after lunch.
