so, in check with my last posting, I have calmed down a lot on my alcoholic and casual encounter consumption. it has given me somewhat of a clarity. I think if I ever get around to writing that book, it should be titled "empty bottles lead to empty promises."
I haven't gone totally cold turkey. I have drank seven times in the last 6 weeks. and I still get together with one of my FB's every couple of weeks for a nice dalliance. it's all a little strange.
and for those of you that actually know me, you know that a certain time of year is upon us. fundraising season. for the next three months, my life will be consumed by the topic of domestic violence. my beard growing charity kicks off on October 4th and I feel real good about the prep work that we have done leading up to it.
we will launch our redesigned website on Wednesday as well as an ad campaign that I am hoping will go ridiculously viral. it is an idea that I had a few years ago that challenges people on the everyday language they use and how it reflects upon victims of domestic violence. hopefully, it will help to eliminate some of what I like to call the passive enabling that goes on.
I may end up reaching out to some of you to help spread the campaign...
