school apps arent looking too good so far -- i expect a number of rejections this week and next.
on the upside, ive been working on a number of new projects to improve the portfolio for next year.
this week, for example, im making some deerskin driving gloves from a nice hide i picked up at tandy leathers. no patterns, just a pair of winter leather gloves to give an idea of how to cut them. each place ive visited for materials has commented on how glove-making is a 'dying art' (2 times) or that i had better know what im getting myself into (3 times).
has anyone done this before? i have zero experience in tailoring/sewing/leatherwork/etc. but in one evening ive got some mock-ups cut and ready to be sewn tomorrow.
ill keep you posted.

I haven't booked a new appointment yet, funds don't allow for it at the moment, sadly.
How did the glove-making pan out?
