Insomnia Strikes again. Well... It's been 24 hours since I woke up... And I have to "be up" in an hour or so to start getting ready for work. Today is going to be lame. Not due to any activity that is going to happen, at least I hope... More due to the fact that I have school tonight as well as work today. Which means that I'll leave my house at about 0500, and I won't get home until...mmm, about 2230 tonight. Which means my body is going to boost itself through constant adrenal boosts, which in turn is going to make my brain traffic over-clocked, which means I probably won't be sleeping tonight either.
Thin are the moments of night left behind.
By the morning hours that onward creep,
Fleeting, the last shred of sleep
It wavers with the silent wind:
But in half-dreams that shift and roll
And still remember and forget,
Loneliness of your soul's touch gone, but
A little nearer yet.
Our lives, once dear, are never near,
Thoughts are of us, never far apart,
Though all that drew us heart to heart
Seems fainter now and never more clear.
To-night Love claims my full control,
And with desire and with regret
My soul this hour has dreamed your soul
A little nearer yet.
Is there a life where simple earth
Melts to bright air that breathes no pain,
Where water leaves no thirst again
And springing fire is Love's new birth?
If faith long bound to one true goal
May there at length its hope beget,
My soul that hour shall draw your soul
For ever nearer yet.
I apologize if it reads like ass... but I'm tired... but not sleepy... and I hate writing poetry. But I can't seem to stop writing in prose.... bleh... fuck it.
