The Netflix Silverlight viewer sucks ass!
I used to love Netflix, and I loved them even more when instant streaming became available. The Windows Media-based viewer had an almost-perfect picture quality that was just as good as DVD, without waiting for the discs to arrive. Just recently, I tried to watch something on instant streaming, and instead of playing the video like normal, a new screen popped up suggesting I download the "NEW AND IMPROVED SILVERLIGHT VIEWER!" I thought "Wow, a viewer that's even better than this one? Sign me up!" So I installed the new viewer, and was all excited to see how "new and improved" it was, but after a few minutes of "determining video quality" and another long 10 minutes of "buffering" I started to think I had been swindled. Sure enough, when the video finally came up, it looked TERRIBLE. Seriously, I've seen better quality on Youtube and home videos I made with my father's VHS camcorder. I then went online to read other opinions about the new player, and found this lovely fact: Those who download the new player will have it tied to their account, and they can never go back to the old player, on any computer they try to use.
What the hell, Netflix? You make a new player that's slower with worse video quality than the previous one, and then you force us to keep it without the option of going back to the older player? Again, what the hell? Are you trying to lose customers? In fact, I am seriously considering cancelling my account due to this. I rarely ever rent the physical discs anymore, so my monthly fee goes entirely toward the streaming portion of the site, and now they fucked that up. Good going, Netflix, you fucking morons.

It's the only way to right their wrong.
