Fucking stupid college people.
Fucking stupid turbo boyfriends who lose it and make their girlfriend scream in the street at 2am on a Thursday morning.
Fucking stupid sophmore neighbors who play their backbeat-heavy music through subwoofers which resonates my room at its natural resonant frequency. Which is apparently the same resonant frequency as my head. (But that's alright, since we just got a drum set, and I got my bass amp fixed. Payback's reincarnated into a motherfucking 300Wrms 15" David Eden cabinet, pendehos!!)
Fucking stupid me for staying up this late despite my 8am 3 hr lab, followed by a 3 hr lab for which I TA, in which I ensure that neither myself nor the students crush or maim themselves on sheet metal shearing/punching/bending equipment, and simultaneously keeping myself from breaking equipment. I thought I broke the 2 ton specialty hole puncher two weeks ago, but that turned out to be not my fault. But still. Who knows. Tomorrow I might just imagine myself in a musical of college students prancing around and singing about the music of the clack-boom-banging of metal work, the splish-splosh-splooshing of metal etching chemicals and I find myself breaking some ungodly expensive piece of equipment and everyone goes home and their projects are delayed and my son goes blind and I get arrested 'cause I'm a communist, but I get to sing an achingly beautiful swan song before I'm hung in front of scowling and unfeeling faces.
Yeah, I should get some rest so that doesn't happen.

so yeah, funk will be a bit of a challenge... march 23 at the DNA lounge in SF
Yeah I'm out of school - have been since April 04.
The awards thing was for a professional association. It was pretty funny watching all these grey-haired, straight-laced engineers dressed up as pirates. I got to take home a siamese fighting fish at the end of the night - it was the 'pirate' centrepiece.
