Fuck. I miss Kali.

*UPDATE*
I've been away for a while. Not just on my trip, but away from SG. I don't really give a shit about it anymore, and only use it to kill a little time these days. I'm going to give it another shot for my last week, but I'm not making any promises. My account will end on September 1st. My one year SG anniversary. Woo. I'll celebrate by not renewing my membership.
September 23rd. In 30 days, Kali will strike LA, and it shall crumble to the ground beneath the force of her awesome.
In case you hadn't noticed, the trip went well. Extremely well. "I want to move to Indy" well. I was going to move to Chicago when my lease was up, but it looks like I'll be aiming a bit south, and trying to leave sooner. Anybody interested in a 5 month lease in West Hollywood? The apartment is awesome, and Obsidian would be your roomate. Dude, seriously... Do it. Take the apartment. Move from Newfoundland or wherever the fuck you're at. You'll love it.
I submitted my paperwork for benefits last night, so they'll start on the 1st of September. After a year since I found them, I finally get to have the damn, dirty tumors removed from my bottom lip. Hip hip fuckin hooray.
I'm not quitting my job. I would love to have two jobs close to home instead of this one, but two part time jobs won't get me the $16.50 an hour I make here. I've never been to college, so this is about the best I'll do for the time being. I need to save up money fast. A large part of why I wanted to quit was to hang out with SGLA more anyway. Hanging out with SGLA does not qualify as saving money at all. I've figured out how I can live on 2 to 4 dollars a day, which means that every hour I work will pay for 4 to 8 days of food. Sweet. If only it weren't for the shitload that I pay in mass transportation.
Speaking of which, my truck is fucked. It needs a new engine. I can't afford it. The warranty company is refusing to pay for it. This means that for the next three years, I get to make a $214.40 payment every month for a vehcle I don't even have anymore. Not to mention the $700 I now owe the dealership in tear down fees. Fucking asshole warranty company.
I'm going to start submitting my writing to various places. I'm an extremely horrible writer, but I've read some extremely horrible books. Somebody's getting paid to write that crap- why not me, too? I'm not sure the stand up thing is going to work out, though. I haven't talked to Adam in weeks, and even if I did write a set that didn't suck, when the hell would I perform it? It takes me three hours to get to and from work one way. With a quarter of my day spent travelling, and over a third spent at work, I just don't have the time for anything.
On the plus side, though...

So, I don't ever eat on my lunchbreak here, and I usually end up taking a walk down by the golf course across the street. Tonight I headed outside to do just that when I ran into a member of the cleaning crew I've never seen before. We bring in these people from a company called Millenium. Out of all the ones that I've met, none of them speak English. I know for a fact that most, if not all of them are illegal immigrants. I aproached the new guy outside as he was smoking and said hi. After talking to him for a bit, I found out some interesting information. Aparently tonight is his first night, and he will be working from 6pm until 6am, 5 days a week. What the fuck? Now, I'm not a fan of illegal immigration at all, but working these guys 60 hours a week for what I'm sure must be less than minimum wage is just fucking insane. There are at least two members of the crew that I see every night, and have seen on nights that I cover for Ronnette. If these two are working 7 days a week, I want to find out hw many hours they're putting in.
Now I'm torn, though. I think I should report Millenium, but if I do, these people will be deported. I'm rather hypocritical in my views here, because generally I don't support hiring illegals, but I know these people, and don't want to see them deported. Should I just let them get taken advantage of? Or should I report Millenium, which will probably cause our cleaning crew to be deported? Crap. I think I'll wait until I can find out what they're getting paid at least. Decisions, decisions. Either way, these guys get screwed, but maybe I can make it better for the next batch that Millenium hires. I don't know what to do!
