The past few days have been uneventfull. Almost too uneventful....
But, I did go see Hero in theatres. The cinematography was awesome. And I saw Garden State for the second time. Ill probably see it again in LA when I make my roomate watch it.
Oh yeah, I leave Phoeniix Wednsday, but Ive got to come back for a traffic court apearance on the 14th. I was pulled over for an expired registration(forgot to re-up it) and he also sited me for an unreadable drivers license (shouldnt have brought my wallt to Iraq) and for not having my proof of insurance (I left the damn papers in my car when I moved it into storage). So I have to spend I day at the DMV in LA to get a new license AND registration. Hooray for the DMV! That place is awesome. There's nothing I like more than waiting in line with 200 angry people, most of whom didn't shower, just so I can be waited on by an even angrier person, who probably didn't shower either. Then I get to drive 6 hours to Phoenix the night of the 13th so I can be in court by 8:30 AM, and then drive back to LA immediately after being fined. Fucking awesome.
Their is a plus side though. I just bought a bed, and their was NO way I was going to get my bed, this computer, the stuff Ive stored in my parents garage for 5 years and the apartment warming presents my mom got me (a slow cooker, an electric griddle, a toaster oven, a silverwear set, a dish set, and a chair) all to LA in one trip. Even with my pickup. The really really bad news is the Hallmark may not hire me if I cant work for days 2 and 3 of the shoot. But I think they might anyway. Guess I could always work in a hospital if Im hard up for cash. But there's a huge difference between drawing a marines blood, and drawing blood in LA. Youve got to worry a lot more about infections and crazies in the city. But a paychecks a paycheck I suppose. I never thought Id come to a point where Id say that. Damn capitalism. Why can't we just barter for goods and services?

Being pulled over really, really sucks. Sorry you had to put up with that crap.
Anyhoo, welcome to the site! And don't worry, you'll make plenty of friends in the coming weeks and months!
