3 days post new years / break up wif girlfriend...
and I'm doing alright.
I've been taking the extra free time now not devoted to hanging out with her and writing a bunch of new songs. I've got 2 almost completely skeletoned, and 3 or 4 in progress. Also, I've been recording some new tracks of our old stuff for our demo CD. I definitely want to hit the ground running in LA, so I've been scoping out a few record labels to start submitting our demo to, as well as beg for a job from.
So... that's about it really.
Hope everyone's new years went alright!

That all sounds so exciting! Good luck with it all
Unfortunately I'm not doing anything so adventurous - I've moved back to my hometown after about 7 years away, and I'm starting at UNBSJ for Arts/Education. It's not what I want to do forever, but it's a step towards it!
Actually (corny and lame as this sounds) I want to be a librarian. That'll be years down the road though.
My thinking is that I'll probably want time between my degrees, and in my area most people with Arts degrees end up stuck in a call centre. Adding another year gets me both a BA and a BEd, and the ability to teach here or overseas before I decide to go back for my MLIS. Plus I do enjoy the thought of teaching, and I think it'd help me build a lot of confidence in myself as well
