So!
Conducting final... CHECK and MATE, good sir (or ma'am)!
We had to conduct a recitative from Handel's The Messiah, which I am proud to say I rocked thoroughly.
Recitative conducting is one of the hardest kinds for beginning students, because you have to react to what the singer gives you instead of being in a constant state of control. Like trying to balance a plate on a stick, with someone nudging the plate back and forth every few beats. Weird stuff.
That now leaves 2 more finals and 1 performance till I can rest... and play Fallout 3 some more...
The performance is on Sunday with the UAA Guitar Ensemble. We're under-practiced, and crawling with noobs this semester, so it should be something else. Whatever that would be, I have no idea, but whatever it is, THAT'S what it'll be.... you heard me.
Music History final is on Monday - which I am currently studying for (minus this update/friend chatting/other ways to procrastinate).
I'M TIRED OF READING... WAAAAAAH
100 pages of Baroque musical history starts to make your mind numb. BUT I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED!
After that, all I have is a Form and Analysis final on Friday, and I'm done!
Other than that I'm feeling much better. Thanks to all of you who sent well wishes and e-Soup.
*sigh* I guess I should get back to work.
Bye!
