Moving, Moving, Moving
I've been insanely productive recently. The last few weeks. I can't remember the last time I wasn't up until four or five AM editing photos, taking a apart and trying to fix the timer for my ancient washing machine, painting, painting, cleaning, writing, or just going for a walk and a good think. I've been skipping social engagements to keep at my work. I've been getting an average of five hours a night, and it's doing me just fine. I used to operate like this all the time in college, so seeing this pattern again is a welcome reminder that I am still capable of doing it. My days aren't spent groggy or befuddled, as they sometimes seem to be when I cut back drastically on sleep. Rather, I have pep, energy, and a strong undercurrent of something bordering on euphoria.
Or maybe that's the tea from this morning. Whatever.
The Future House is coming along extremely well. One room is done, and I plan to start on the kitchen today. It's absolutely astounding how working on a place myself, and changing it as I see fit makes it feel like my place. It's no longer my room in the house. It's my home.
It's a nice feeling.
I've almost gotten electrocuted about three times in the course of fixing this washer. The last time was the most dramatic. But with each brilliant, violet flash I learn more about the system. Sure, this last one vaporized some of the parts, but it's nothing a length of copper wire, a hammer, and fifteen minutes with a soldering iron couldn't fix.
I got the gallery space for March (amazing), I have to find one more room mate, paint my house, get back on my paper for the lab, and try to take some new photos. A satisfying amount to take care of.
Oh, and in January I get to start preparing for Burning Man again. Jeeesus.
And I can't stop listening to piano music. Sonatas, sites, and concertos, give them all to me.
If you have any favorites, tell me.
I'll play the game and say that you can post a request and I'll tell you why I like you.
If I do.
And If i still feel like it when I'm next at a computer. =>

You have a house? That's kind of a big deal, congrats on your progress.
