Well I've made a decsion about my future. I'm going to do an MA and then a PhD in theatre. It's an idea I've had kicking around for ages and now I've given myself the kick up the arse needed to start sorting it out. I'm looking for courses that look at the cultural impact of theatre on society but also the impact society has on theatre. I'm also very interested in aspects of theatre that happen outside of a normal theatrical space. I've sent off for three prospectuses so far, Bristol, Birmingham and Edinburgh. Out of all of them Bristol looks the most interesting but I'll wait and see. I maybe too late to start this year, but hopefully 2009 at the latest. I think moving back into academia will be a good move for me, if nothing else it'll let me become the kind of english eccentric that I long to be full time. It makes me feel positive in a way I haven't felt in a long time to be making plans for the future.

On another matter today I gave up singles. Comics I mean, I am now a trades man. This will hopeful save me a bit of money in the future as I'm a lot more fussy about the trades I pick up due to the amount of money they cost compared to the single issues. I'm evening thinking about selling off some of my collection of back issues, to get a little space and make a little cash.
