Just before Halloween last year I crushed one of my life's goals and bought my very own house. It's bigger than I need. But, I plan to live in it until I retire and who knows what the future holds. Now I want to focus on my next goal, traveling.
It kinda sucks because I don't know many people with the means or the drive to travel as far and wide as I'd like to. I want to see everything. I'm not very well traveled at all. Where do I start? Do I just go it alone?

Make a list of places you want to go. As general or specific as you like. Pick one to start with - research, what are the best places to go? best time of year to be there? Keep the info organized. Look for groupons/flight deals. Decide how important hotels are or if you can live with hostels, or playing it by ear. Is it easy to get around, or do you need to rent a car? What forms of public transport are available? It's not too hard - you just have to decide you want to do it :) If you can find someone to travel with, awesome. If not, you will meet people while you're traveling :). Don't let the idea of going solo stop you from going at all! And - congrats on the house!

Thanks Ekka. Booked my flight to Asheville NC with a couple buddies in May! 👍
