The current Admin seems to have no interest in taking away your gun ownership rights - Just individual Democratic members of congress possibly putting forward new bills that aim to return the Assault weapon ban, that was brought into policy during the Clinton Years. The current executive won't touch the issue at this time while the heath care issue is on the agenda. So, I think your fears are negligible there.
And there's a more aggressive push for a better health care policy than was proposed during the same Clinton years...
The majority of Canadians don't understand all the vocal arguments against single payer Heath care, As the right to health care in canada is inshrined as part of our Carter of rights and freedoms / constitution. Although it makes for great reality T.V. watching.
Single payer insurance works well for the majority of 35 million Canadians, regardless of the mostly made up stories your conservative politicians / pundits and commentators use as cannon fodder in any argument.
But, I admire your desire to protest concerns.. however misguided they look from our side of the fence.
