You're robbing the word of all it's power. I want people to blush when that word is uttered, not yawn like it's an everyday occurence.
Am I the only person who finds themselves laughing at racist terms? I mean big hearty chuckles. It's probably because society says I'm not suppose to. But I think it's good for us to laugh at such words. Those are words that need to lose some of their power, not be held back like a 3rd grader with a learning disability.
One day when I'm in charge I think we should all take 1 minute out of a specific day (probably a day in december) to stop whatever we're doing and hold hands with whoever's around us and just take turns saying racist terms outloud. JUST FOR THAT MINUTE MIND YOU! It'll really clear the air I think. Let's all have a really good belly laugh. Because that's ALL we can do really.
