Well it looks like even the sun is trying to get in on some action today...
It's going to be a great day, I can tell.

Oh, I almost forgot - the capital O is from the Avenir family, a gorgreous linear sans serif designed by Adrian Fruitiger (yes, the same man who is responsible for Univers and Fruitiger - clearly one of the most influential typographers ever).
Here's a little blurb:
In an interview with Linotype Library, [Fruitiger] said he felt an obligation to design a linear sans in the tradition of Erbar and Futura, but to also make use of the experience and stylistic developments of the twentieth century. The word Avenir means 'future' in French and hints that the typeface owes some of its interpretation to Futura. But unlike Futura, Avenir is not purely geometric; it has vertical strokes that are thicker than the horizontals, an "o" that is not a perfect circle, and shortened ascenders. These nuances aid in legibility and give Avenir a harmonious and sensible appearance for both texts and headlines.

Man, I must be having a good day - I'm drinking a cup of instant coffee and I am actually enjoying it.
Which got me to thinking... I wonder which typeface would best represent instant coffee?
I vote for Arial: she's cheap, readily availible, and totally lacking refinement.
This makes me giggle like a schoolgirl:
At a glance, [Arial] looks like Helvetica, but up close it's different in dozens of seemingly arbitrary ways. Because it matched Helvetica's proportions, it was possible to automatically substitute Arial when Helvetica was specified in a document printed on a PostScript clone output device. To the untrained eye, the difference was hard to spot. After all, most people would have trouble telling the difference between a serif and a sans serif typeface. But to an experienced designer, it was like asking for Jimmy Stewart and getting Rich Little.
So behold the nastiness of Arial!

Yuck.

You'll probably see what I mean sooner or later. Ha ha.
