So it looks like my sister-in-law is going to be getting a job at the state hospital where they filmed One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. She flew out to Oregon for the interview, said the place looks scarier now than it did in the movie. She got a full tour, saw the basketball courts and everything. And if she does get the job,...

it is not the St. Louis Zoo.. it is Brookfield.
I really wanted to go to the St. Louis Zoo while i was there, but we were just passing through on our way to Kansas City.
Stopped at the arch for an hour and then were back on the expressway.

hahaha, i dig the banner.
So it's going to be a weekend of Shaw Bros. movies...And also thinning down the newly discovered screenplay I'm going to film. I don't think anyone's ever tried to do anything with found scripts, so it might be interesting...especially since it will be done with paper bag puppets, lots of cardboard, construction paper, and text from ancient Japanese poetry...

You are filming a movie??? Long time no talk...how have you been:???
runelateralus:
Man...tell me about it.
Man, I can't see those films. You must include subtitles for that one with the character speaking the words phonetically.

excellent. fatal frame 2 has been acquired. it was only $10 at best buy. it's on the rare occasions like this that i love my country.

your sentiments were appreciated.
So there's a massive fire raging a few blocks away. Lots of helicopters in the sky, the air is hazy and smells like burning insulation.
On the bright side, a very cue girl came to the lab today--twice. Hadn't seen her in months, but she remembered my name. I'm all woozy in a good way....
Update: Been home sick for the past few days. Sadly,...

Time to update my profile pic. I really don't look like that anymore, and haven't for some time....Shaved my head back in October and haven't cut it since then, so it's a bit shaggy at this point. But at the moment I have no camera and one of my cats killed my scanner, so there's no way to put anything up...Oh well....

Siren is pretty good...it is just that Onimusha 3 is better. Plus it has Jean Reno in it.

Thanks for the advice. Theremins are touchy beasts, you're right about that. I've built three of them now so I've got a fairly decent understanding of their quirks now and how to retune them and stuff, playing them on the other hand.
signalnoise:
tom tomorrow - cool as hell.
My friend zombieinferno sent this to me last night. I had heard a little about this from our boss yesterday, but had no idea about the extent of what happened. I think everybody should read this.

Ah yes...I have heard many things about that game turning strong big men into crying little babies. I still have to try it one of these days...too bad Siren is coming out this week, so I have to hold off on it.

wow, that's harsh, and area 5 isn't all that far from where i'm living right now...
People in giant bunny suits are scary.
But people in giant bunny suits dancing to Mexican hip-hop are downright terrifying.
Still, I love my neighborhood....
Update: I am missing someone so very very much....I can feel it in my chest and it's keeping me up at night...
But on the bright side, an SG dreamed about me! That's pretty damn cool...

Thanks for joining my new group. You are awesome. Please spread the word. Thanks again.
almost.....
Philadelphia has the same problem, but sort of in reverse. Hipster neighborhoods take over neighborhoods that aren't the best. Prices sky-rocket, cool restaurants show up, but even though you live in a swanky house on a swanky block, you have a crackhead apartment building a block away. I always think its realy surreal. Its not really a melting pot, more like a kiddie plate with individualized sections.
