So as you know I had to change the water pump on my Bonneville and after going through the mess I have some thoughts.
I can't comment on the SE or SSE but on a 94 SSEi the local Pontiac place wanted $264 for just the labor and after changing it myself I can honestly say that's a bargain. I don't know who designed the mess that you have to go through to change the pump but I must say I am a firm believer that every engineer who designs a car should be forced to service every part on the car so they can see what a shitty design they have. If you usually work on your own cars and you drive a Bonneville save yourself alot of time and a few bloody knuckles and let the dealership do it.

I have yet to get a speeding ticket. I've only been pulled over once. But the cop went to high school with my husband so it was just "hello, didn't know it was you. Tell your husband I said hi" after he looked at my license.
