This weekend was pretty much the best weekend ever.
I finally got around to watching William Castle's Mr. Sardonicus Thursday, which I intended to watch last weekend, but never managed to get around to. It wasn't as awesome as Zotz! or The Tingler, but as with most of William Castle's movies, was entirely enteraining.
Lords of Dogtown with boundcreature Friday night, which despite his excellent review, he forgot to mention that Tyson, The Skateboarding Bulldog made an appearance.
Friday was the first day in my company's incredible every-other-friday-off summer hours policy. I slept late and whiled away the early afternoon working on boundcreature's website and watching Arrested Development. I went to Harvard Square around 3:30 for lunch, and got a pair of shorts and a pile of CDs (which prompted the Sleater-Kinney post Friday evening). Dinner with boundcreature and afterwards Paul and I walked to Coolidge Corner and got some ice cream. Taking our time there and back and sitting in a churchyard enjoying the cool night, until the bugs got to us.
Yesterday: more work on boundcreature's website, more listening to Sleater-Kinney, more Arrested Development. Dinner with Paul, and dancing with sapphic_plastic and Paul and aegiswings at Crypt. Crypt's decor is wonderful. Giant gargoyles, skulls, and castle ramparts all over the place. Beautiful. As far as music, not as bad as manray's front room on Wednesdays, but of course not nearly on par with DJ gumbercules. A bunch of good dancing nonetheless.
Today: DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL! Spent the afternoon in the sweltering muggy heat with sapphic_plastic, Paul, and our friends Chris and Andy watching dragon boat races, drinking water, jasmine limeade (from Pho Pasteur), and smoothies (from a festival stand), sitting alternately on the river bank and inside air conditioned businesses near the sqaure.
We all had a wonderful dinner of ice cream (chocolate), then wine and cheese, then pizza, then root beer floats, then more ice cream (green tea) on Paul and Andy's roof deck. Followed by an hour or so of lounging as the day cooled off.
Just got back from High Tension with boundcreature, which really seemed like it was going to be a good movie for quite a while there.

aegiswings:
thanks for the advice! I'll check that pattern out. I was shocked, there is a guy out there that sews! I don't feel so weird anymore. I also think its ironical that you made everything *but* the pants. lol.
gumbercules:
