I miss Mari... we don't spend much time apart. We've practically been living together since we first met... the first time we spent any length of time apart, it was a week long, and we vowed to never do it again. Since I've known her we've been apart maybe a total of 3-4 weeks. In almost 3 years.
Yet... I feel she no longer is as upset by our departure as I am. Perhaps it is because she is going to something new and exciting, and I am here, alone. I just wish life were simple again. Well, when was it ever simple?
I feel like such a loser sometimes.
G'night.

There's a table (and LOTS more) at American Bamboo Society's site that lists characteristics of a large number of species - height, minimum temp, amount of sun, etc. As long as you get something that'll grow in our area, you can pretty much just plant it, keep it nice and wet (lots of mulch) for the first year, then let it go. There's a place in Commerce GA called "The Pottery" that sells a few different species of bamboo (including black bamboo, which is sweet), or there're a bunch of online places.
The place that I ordered my rhizome barrier from discounts the barrier if you spend $100 on bamboo.
*ahem* Let me know if you wanna hear more.
