Love is Hell
Although I may live to regret it I'm going back out into the meat market. I'll be doing what everyone else is doing. Trying to find my "true love", my "soul mate" on-line. Yahoo Personals to be precise. I tried on-line dating a number of years ago but didn't pursue it aggressively enough. You have to be relentless in your search. That's why my opening message reads "Kamikaze Lover." The males who commented before saying it was a number game I think are correct. I have mixed feelings going into this. I haven't been dating in a number of years and I have a lot of insecurities about it. Going on an initial date to often feels like a job interview. I'm very uncomfortable. However, when I do click with the right woman, I fall into the moment. Because I'm older I'm probably more cynical about love than twenty-somethings. When you've been through the wringer a number of times it tends to dampen your enthusiasm. Still, my best friend found his wife through Match.com. And they lived happilly ever after..... love
I'd love for people to take a look at my Yahoo Personal and tell me what they think. Here's the link:

Over the next couple of months, I'll try to post progress reports from time to time and tell you about my dates from hell.
I should add that on-line dating is not the only means by which I'm looking to meet women. I'm also checking about MySpace, starting to do some volunteer work, and joining some activity clubs. One has to launch a multi-pronged strategy. Best to catch the enemy while their sleeping (that's a joke). smile

happily ever after even after love? now that truly is a relationship that works! i am trying to take things slowly with the new crush...it does (and doesn't) help that it is long distance....good luck with your attack strategy! keep trying - i think doing some activities/volunteering may be a good approach as well - i had a friend who had transplanted himself, done the match.com thing, and ended up meeting a really cool girl through a hiking club...so - who knows what happens in the fickle world of dating..i'm still trying to negotiate the waters! thanks for the support too - i have been an absolute shite about getting back to people (I haven't been on SG much this week - finals at school)...keep updating about your dating life - my friends and i used to compete for the worst on-line date. i was in the lead with the one who borrowed his sister's car and had to have it back to her by 10...there was other amusement to the evening too - but that was the end of the night...very funny to have been there...
