Went out to dinner with my friend tonight. She's good at cheering me up. We went to Mr. Bill's 50's style diner up on Aroura. It was good, but I was hungry so anything would've tasted good I think. Lol. Still, a bit sad to come home after dinner and be in the apartment alone. Kinda makes me think about roommates. But really I odn't think I could deal with that if the space I had wasn't my own; especially since i've now had the joy of living alone for a while.
There is a cat that sometimes stalks my backyard for the sparrows that live in the hedge.
Waiting, patiently, expectantly for a visit from a girl at the end of May. It'll be nice to have her close again for a while. We're gonna go out to a show at the 5th Ave and have a nice dinner. The plans are starting to feel like more of a first date than anything else. But we've kinda been on one really long first date for the last few years anyway.
I think I need to get out more. But not really inclinded to do so. What I really want is to have someone come over to watch TV with for a few hours every night. I think what I miss the most about leaving home is the simple presense of someone else in the house who is going about their buisness. Little flickers of conversation are missing. There seems to be a long silence now, between arriving at work and leaving it.
There is a leak in the kitchen faucet.
Time to get some sleep. Maybe it'll still be raining when I get up. That'd be nice.
