I've just typed out a massive rant about the fact that certain people on this site seem unable to appreciate that engaging with any artform is an entirely subjective experience & as such their attempts to apply objective reasoning to justify their preferences is futile & ridiculous. I then tried to post said rant & my fucking pc crashed. Cock Can't be arsed doing it all again, it'll have to wait for another day.
So instead i'm going to recommend 2 books: Ward 81 by Mary Ellen Mark & Karen Folger Jacobs. Website
It's haunting & beautiful & tragic & really fucking expensive for a first edition but you can pick up a later printing for cheap dollars off amazon. Alternatively you can just read it on the website.
Also my favourite book i've read this year is Opening Skinner's Box: Great Psychological Experiments Of The 20th Century by Lauren Slater. If you have an interest in human nature or have ever wondered what makes us tick (& how this was discovered) then i urge you to check it out. Fantastic read.

Perhaps it is a sign? Maybe somebody/something didnt want you to rant today? You can rant to me anytime though I think it feels good to just rant away sometimes.
amelinda:
ha! i would be flattered if he did that lol, but I doubt he will. I get the feeling that I am his dirty little secret.
