Dude, I fucking love Neko Case. I just saw her at the Marquee w/ Calexico and I am infuckinglove. OMG, it has been a long time since I last got all obsessed about and artist/band....she is the bee's knees. Fo real. I would give my left arm to sing like that. Everytime I think I am slightly talented in the singing dept. I hear people like her and I feel like an ass for even thinking it. I would LOVE to be in a band and sing (that is probably my biggest dream) I miss doing that so much. But, I feel like if I can't be the best, then what is the point in trying? Although, sometimes I am out and I hear people singing in bands and I think "They aren't that great..." but I still like it. So, if I am only moderately talented I could probably still do better than people I have actually seen with their own bands. That gives me some hope. Now, I have been out of practice for years. I was training and in vocal groups for years, but it is sort of like speaking another language....if you don't use it, you lose it. So, now I feel like there is no way I would sing live without at least a few months of training to get myself back to where I used to be. My voice gets super tired now just after a couple songs. I used to be able to sing for hours and feel fine. Oh well, it is not like I am going ot be famous or anything....whatever.
